At St. Peter Middle School we are very blessed to have many students who go above and beyond our expectations on a daily basis. Again this year, we will honor students who stand out among their peers in a positive manner. Every month each grade level will select a student who is exemplary in some way. The student might have an exceptional attitude, reverence at Mass, effort in classes, or be an outstanding role model and leader for their peers, always promoting Christ’s love and kindness. Students of the Month will receive a certificate and have their picture, along with the reason they were chosen, posted outside our principal’s office.
The October students of the month are:
Daniel Mitch is our eighth-grade student of the month. Daniel was selected because he not only demonstrates academic excellence, but is very involved in extra-curricular activities. Academically, Daniel strives to maintain a high grade-point average. He has a desire to study and make sure all of his assignments are in on time. Daniel shows his school spirit through his involvement in sports by participating in football and basketball. When Daniel is in the game, you can feel the energy and enthusiasm as the level of play seems to rise because of Daniel’s determination to give 100 percent. Daniel further expresses his school spirit by being a member of the Student Council for the third year in a row, and as a member of the musical “Beauty and the Beast,” securing the role of Gaston. He also helps with morning announcements and leading us in prayer.
Madeline Kunze is our seventh-grade student of the month. If you asked the seventh-grade class what they think of when they hear the name Maddie Kunze they’d say, “Sparkles!” Maddie is just that, a big splash of color and sparkle in a small package. She brings joy every day to her classmates and teachers with her positive attitude and cheerful demeanor. With Maddie around, you soon realize that smiles and giggles are not far away. She has the ability to cheer people up and make any room she enters light up. Not only is she a happiness force to be reckoned with, but she is a very hard worker. Maddie will do anything asked of her, and do it to the best of her ability. Maddie is also always ready to lend a helping hand. She helps classmates and teachers alike with any task that needs doing. Her kindness is evident to all who have the pleasure of knowing her! Maddie also lives out her faith by being a Mass server. Maddie is a great role model, classmate, friend and student.
